Tech Tidbit: Hello M! Catch the bot buzz!

How would you like to ask your personal assistant and make a restaurant reservations, manage your banking or make purchases via your messaging app?

While 'chatbots" have been around since the beginning of the Internet age, simulating conversation with a computer, bots are becoming the new tech strategy thanks to boost of artificial intelligence (GoogleNow, Siri, Cortana, M) software and the fact that over 2 billion people have at least one messaging app installed.

  • What do bots do?
  • Who's building these bots?
  • Will bots replace apps?
