What is Smart Card? How does it work? What are the consumer and operational issues of utilizing a Smart Card for multiple transit systems?

The Port Authority Transit Company, a subsidiary of the Delaware River Port Authority, has undertaken a project to convert from a mechanical, cash-based fare collection system, to a state-of-the-art electronic Smart Card system. Mr. Brannon will discuss Smart Card Technology and its implications to regional fare collection and customer relationship management practices. Learn about the application of Smart Technology in the transportation industry in our local area.

Price Brannon is responsible for the day-to-day management, systems development, and strategic direction of the Delaware River Port Authority's information technology.
