We have heard of portals and used them, but what does it take to build one the right way? How do you develop a portal that will be of value to users?

Anne Mullins has over 18 years experience in developing and managing information technology solutions. As the Program Manager of the Transformation Office at Lockheed Martin’s Management and Data Systems (M&DS) Company, her focus is on cost-reducing and value-enhancing solutions achieved through technology insertion. Rapid deployment of applications that exploit workflow automation, distributed content management, portal technology, and collaborative environments has demonstrated the power of technology in enhancing enterprise business processes. In her first year with Lockheed Martin, Anne and her team deployed M&DS’s portal, a model employee information portal.

You’ve heard the portal technology buzzwords and the polished presentations by solution providers. Now hear about the most important aspects of portal success, creating the vision and implementing the value. This presentation proposes that it’s less about the product and more about what you do with the product. The focus needs to be on the measured value to the enterprise and the employees.

Get the unique perspective of a successful practitioner. Understand the practical application of this powerful technology. View specific examples of the key features of a portal. Make the right decisions in the right order. Measure the immediate return on investment.

Join us for a great evening of education and networking.
