      Meditation helps you find new ways to engage your life with experiences that teach, heal, and enhance everything around you. It opens the doors to becoming more skillful in listening to the inner wisdom that guides us in the flow of life and connecting deeper with your true self. Meditation is not about clearing your mind or stopping thoughts, it’s about observing and cultivating compassionate awareness around the relationship you have with your thoughts.

      We will begin with an open discussion about meditation, then you’ll be guided in focusing on your breath and being present in your body, mind & spirit, and then guided through meditation.

      Come as you are. No experience or mat needed.

      Chairs will be available if you prefer to not sit on the floor.


      Juli practiced yoga and meditation off and on for many years before she became deeply connected to the practice in 2010. It was then that she discovered yoga offers so much more than a physical benefit. She was showing up to classes with the intention of strengthening and stretching her muscles, but every ounce of her being was strengthened and stretched. Juli’s daily practice of yoga and meditation has transformed her life and helped her break away from the stories and judgments she placed on herself, and connected her deeply with her body, mind, and spirit.

      Juli is an RYT 500 hour certified Kripalu yoga and meditation teacher. Kripalu means being compassionate and invites you to go inward, listen to your greatest teacher within, and to love and nurture your body along the way. Juli believes that through the practice we can tune in to our body, mind, emotions, and our spirit in new and profound ways. She feels it is an opportunity to learn more about ourselves every time we practice, and it's this knowledge that better equips us for the real practice..... living life off the mat.

      Juli’s passion when teaching is to help students raise awareness without judgment, and create an environment of comfort and support that allows students to feel empowered when moving their body and/or meditating.

      Details and description for yoga session

         NWCT Class:  Gentle Vinyasa Flow Yoga

      In Gentle Vinyasa Flow Yoga, the student will flow from pose to pose, integrating breath with movement, to create a moving meditative practice.  We will move slowly and consciously through the postures with emphasis on alignment details to reinforce efficient muscular patterns and optimize proper joint alignment.  This in turn will help to create healthy movement patterns that prevent injury. Individuals needs are addressed in a safe, nurturing, non-competitive environment. 

      Physically, yoga practice helps to improve core strength, posture, balance, and flexibility.  Physical stress is released and relaxation occurs.  Emotional stress is also released, which rejuvenates mental focus.  Healing yoga practices help us to create a healthy and relaxed body and mind, that allows us to tap into our inherent skill, wisdom, compassion, and grace.

      Please bring your own mat. No previous yoga experience is necessary!

      Please note:* (Length of sessions dependent upon how many registrants there are - yoga will be at least 30 minutes)

      ABOUT KIM:

      Kimberly’s favorite type of class consists of flowing, breath centered movement, whether in the form of cardio/dance, core strength & toning, or yoga.  Breath centered movement helps students to relax into their own inherent strength, cultivate body awareness (which helps to avoid injury), and improve mental focus.

      Kimberly has been teaching yoga for 20+ years; she has been teaching fitness and studying dance for 30+ years.  She received her yoga teacher certification from the Saraswati River Yoga School (2000), and has continued to study vinyasa yoga, therapeutic yoga, and structural yoga therapy.  She is also a certified fitness instructor (AFFA, AAAI)  and barre instructor (Twisters Wellness 2017).  She combines her love of dance, fitness and yoga in her cardio, core, and stretch classes.  She teaches group fitness classes, corporate classes, private lessons, and is available for special events.

      If you have never experienced Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, you are in for such a treat! Ours is a private event - the Gardens will remain open exclusively for NWCT attendees only. After unwinding with yoga and guided mediation, feel free to grab a glass of wine and roam about and explore this exquisite place. Get lost in the mosaics, a truly unique experience.
